Möbius
My work 'Mobius' was an investigation of the connection. It attempted to amalgamate historical and contemporary art to present continuous images. I used types of vinyl as warps and wefts in order to create modern textures and surfaces with the craft technic of weaving. It simultaneously showed representational, abstract, static, and dynamic images through geometrical patterns with monochromatic colours and forms. I explored connections between space and objects by distorting elements such as patterns, shapes, and forms. My work had a sense of connection and motion while maintaining an overall sense of balance.
